Welcome to El Chivo, a family-friendly bar and restaurant in Playa Pelada. After opening in 2014 in what was then the sketchier end of town, we persevered and became a successful “Tequila & Tacos” concept that we were forced to close down in 2021 due to the challenges of Covid restrictions (and the need for a new roof!). The new El Chivo still embraces tacos & tequila, now with casual pub-style service and a broader food offering, all wrapped in a warm ambiance that feels like home. Our diverse menu and accommodating staff have made us an everyday option for everyday people.

Adjacent to us is La Bodega, a grocery-cafe concept that we integrated in 2021. Enjoy our lovely front patio and feel the Chivo vibe both inside and out! Be sure to check out our lunch and dinner menus, along with our Sunday Brunch.

Join us for our weekly events: Taco Tuesday, Red Lantern Wednesday, and Live Music Fridays. Additionally, we host Charity Trivia on the first Thursday of every month. Come and enjoy some fun while supporting a good cause!
